This Cocker Spaniel painting for Pampered Pets in Grand Forks was a challenging one—the final piece of the year. The first snowfall arrived the very day I finished, and working with such fine detail on a corrugated surface in winter made it even more demanding.

The child in raincoat was inspired by a scene that I saw in Beacon Hill Park and someone sent me this picture, for a commission to recreate. It's called, " Just Ducky" - Paul

The boy and dog at the warf over looks a little girl that he adores, who's too busy for love and setting goals of her own in the mural, the Ballerina

The Renaissance murals were my first solo project after MAD Artists—a 12,000 sq ft Aveda showroom. I leaned into the Michelangelo vibe, painting ceilings late at night by candlelight and classical music with a small crew helping me hit deadline. One evening, the owner asked if I’d ever been to Rome—I hadn’t, but dreamed of it. The next day I entered a “Win a Trip to Rome” contest… and months later, I won. It became my honeymoon—five-star hotels, museums, and the Sistine Chapel (where I may have left my card for touch-ups 😆).

Takaya, the beloved lone wolf, now has a permanent memorial on Discovery Island—his former home.
Victoria artist Paul Archer created a mural of Takaya resting on a rock, inspired by the building’s natural shape.
Takaya, an 11-year-old wolf, captured hearts when he lived alone on the island for years. In 2020, he was relocated from Victoria to a remote area of Vancouver Island, but was tragically killed by a hunter months later near Shawnigan Lake.
The mural, which took about a day and a half to complete, now honours his legacy.
